New Year's Resolutions

Happy New Year!

Listen: Year-end Podcast

My New Year's resolutions:

Political:

1. Eliminate the state's record budget deficit and grow private sector jobs as I did as former Governor Jim Edgar's Chief of Staff.

2. Lead by example on Ethics as the only candidate for Illinois governor who has pledged to shut down his campaign fund when he takes office.

Personal:

1. Continue to find time for my kids' activities during a busy run for governor.

2. Eat healthier foods.

I wish you all the very best in 2010!

Year End Memories

Not only is the year over, but the decade as well. It hasn't been an easy one for Illinois.

I look back with great respect for the many people struggling to make it during this tough economy. I wish the leadership in Springfield had had a greater sense of urgency to try to fix the state's problems. Instead, all we got was the impeachment of a disgraced governor and another year without a balanced budget.

All we got was the impeachment of a disgraced governor and another year without a balanced budget.
That's what motivated me to run for governor, and what will keep me going during the upcoming month. If you haven't checked out my web site, please go to dillardforgovernor.com.
